AMC may be better than Regal!

First, I have never been so insulted, mistreated, humiliated, embarrassed, in seeing any movie. It all started when I booked a ticket for "Fantasy Island" online through the App and provided evidence of this at the Regal Westchester Commons. Still could not get in. Ticket would not scan in and showed an error code on the ticketer's device. It had all essential information. He even verified that it had. At this point, I was already late. I had tried to miss the tail end of the previews. I had arrived at 10:29 p.m. for a 10 p.m. show. The GM Manny Robinson said that some tickets he had seen were fraudulent, implying the basis of the rigorous check. He finally intervened at 10:47 p.m. The DGM Jonathan Halstead suggested that I should have been let in right before this. He sensed my fury. The ticket taker- Geoffery Oliver seemed confused and tried to radio into a person to have me let in that lasted about 6 minutes. The front ticket agent Taylor Baker spoke to the GM multiple times (5-7 times by phone). I gave credit card information (which was correct but even her and the GM couldn't pull up my account) and even showed the receipt to the email. I eventually left at 11:00 p.m. without seeing the show and I could not get a refund. They tried but my account would not come u[p. After I left, I verified at another location and at the corporate number that everything was working. I went to the Commonwealth 20 theater and saw a 10:40 p.m. show at 11:17 p.m. I am going to cancel my Regal Cinema Unlimited pass and dispute all current and future charges since I could not use the app and enter into the theater and was told that some tickets were/are fraudulent. I showed the ticket history, point-total, billing information, and more. I was offered 2 tickets eventually to go to another location by the GM and to catch whatever movie I could ("Fantasy Island") at Regal Cinema- Commonwealth 20. It took me 17-minutes to get to the other theater. I was in no mood to see any movie and left after 1 hour or so to head back home. The app clearly was working but I could not book another ticket within 90-minutes and apparently he knew this. While I prefer Commonwealth 20 in Midlothian, I am never going back to any Regal Cinema. Very insulting, dehumanizing, and mistreated. They should have just let me in. The app is supposed to make it easy for you to get in, not for you to be disrespected and treated like a criminal.

My son is a patient in the Shepherd Center Day Program in Atlanta, GA due to a spinal cord injury. We purchased a ticket (via Fandango) for him to see My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising at Regal Atlantic Station in Atlanta, GA.

Once we arrived at the theater, we discovered that the elevator and escalator were not working. When I spoke to the ticket agent, he shared that the elevator had been broken for more than a week. I asked to speak to a manager at that time. He called for a manager, but no one answered the phone.

I had to climb a couple of flights of stairs to find a manager myself. Another theater staff member noticed the disgusted look on my face and asked how he could help. He also shared that the elevator had been out for over a week. He stated that he could help us get upstairs, but it would require a great deal of walking and pushing my son's wheelchair (which he volunteered to do).

We had to walk outside, down the street and around the corner to find a service elevator, which took us through a parking garage and then to another elevator. We finally arrived at the back of the theater and were able to get in. This process took over 2 minutes, making my son extremely late for his 4:10 show. I spoke with one of the managers (Dexter) who was insensitive and minimized the situation.

He told me that we were accommodated by having access to the service elevator which was a country mile away. I shared my dissatisfaction with him and he stated that it was not his fault the elevator was broken and a part had been ordered; he had no control over how long it was taking. When I told him how upset I was, he proceeded to say the situation was not that serious. I told him that he could not tell me how to feel and how dare he minimize the situation.

I also shared with him that the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) was a law that ensures that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. I also explained to him that the Act guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations. The manager (Dexter) appeared to take this entire situation lightly. I had to as for some type of compensation which came n the form of 3 movie passes for my son, and my husband and I.

He never apologized for the inconvenience and kept blaming whoever they ordered this elevator part from.

I will NEVER return to this Regal location again. I do understand that things happen and can malfunction, but the minimization and insensitivity was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Regal Cinema is a scam.

Bought 2 tickets for my Bday and showed up to be told the tickets were for the night before @7 PM. It's not like I can go back in time to watch the movie and they refused to refund me or exchange for another night. So Regal has a scam going on. I'm sure they probably sold to someone else so got paid double time for 2 seats. Horrible customer service experience over the phone with beligerant rep.

Go at your own risk

We went to the Regal Cinema in Naples with our disabled daughter. They have one option for buying a ticket - using their automated service. There were no human beings manning any sort of ticket booth. Customer after customer could not make the service machines work that particular day, and finally, my husband and I had to give up. It was annoying, because we had traveled to about 35 minutes to reach that theater. We wrote a letter of complaint, and just got a canned response: "We strive for the highest service" sort of thing, but no real effort to make our sad experience right. Not going there again.

Regal Cinemas - Club member issues!
The entire regal club membership policy is *** I’ve been a regal member for years and took pride in building up my points and status. Seeing how the every time I go to a movie my visit numbers fluctuate downward, the regal club membership is one big scam! It’s not designed to be beneficial to customers it’s a ploy to generate revenue and slight the very purpose of what I thought the membership was for “The Member” but it really isn’t and I’m highly disappointed! Last time I visited it was three more visits to diamond status, this has happened several times now, where it says three more times then magically it becomes 4 more times over and over. Leading me to feel like it’s a pure scam.

Do not attend this theater

On Christmas day I took my children to see a movie, and we had the worse service ever. One of the employees was so rude to me that another customer stepped in, asked the employee to stop. Jose, the employee challenged the man to meet him outside after his shift was over. I have been trying to reach customer service or corporate but nothing

Their site offered a deal that turned out to be a nightmare. You're forced to buy via their app, so I downloaded the huge app to my phone. When I did the purchase, their app upgraded me to a higher-priced subscription and gave me no option to adjust it, charging me more than they advertised. Afterwards I found out they also charge a fee every time you use their app! I called them within 10 minutes to cancel and get a refund. For two days, on hold for hours, never getting a live person. This is fraudulent.

Bad Customer service

Yesterday took my husband to see Harriet and when we get to the window to buy our tickets I told the lady that we wanted handicapped seats she told us we have to wait until the movie start to purchase our tickets only handicap wheelchairs can buy tickets first I told her I don’t understand there’s nobody here with a wheelchair so can we just buy our tickets she said many times “No”you have to wait into the movie about to start. I told her I don’t understand what’s the problem and never had a problem buying our handicapped tickets so I told her I need to get my husband Senior discount to.She got really upset and went and got her manager and the manager came and asked was my husband was he disabled or handicapped numerous of times then he proceeded to say again and again and asked are we sure that my husband was handicap or Disabled . We said yes numerous of times and I Even asked him if he needed me to go to the vehicle to get my husband disable placard to prove that he was handicap /disabled he said no than proceeded the transaction.I was very upset and embarrassed and humiliated ,holding up the line and being question about my husband being disabled .This was the worst experience I ever had And being that my husband is a Veteran and I took him to the movies the day before Veterans Day and this is how they treat Him

Dont show the movies at all or show the wrong movie

This company sucks big time, first they get exclusive rights to show special movies, that no other theater can, then when you spend the time and money to drive all the way in to the big city, to watch said movie, (in this case 'The Gandhi Murder', they sell a ticket for a prescribed time, and then decide later not to show it, because, not enough customers bought tickets, but they use the technical difficulties excuse,...then they will not even give you a refund,...Regal 18 Henrietta, NY …..a movie I will never get to see, can't stream it, can't download it, can't buy it on tape or dvd, can't even steel it...……………………. Tonight I wanted to see 'Current wars', only playing the one night, and only at this theater, Regal Eastview Mall, (NY), this time showed the wrong movie, when I complained they moved it to another theater, but then I needed a new seat assignment, but the manager couldn't arrange it, so told me to sit in any open seat, ..I had to move three times, as other people with tickets stubs demanded I get out of their seats, finally, after playing musical chairs, when, the music stopped, I was the one without a seat.....so, screwed again, waisted $$ on Pop and Popcorn, and $20.00 in gas, for a movie I will never get to see, ..that's twice, no full refunds, no one will listen to complaints at regal, no way to get to a real person at the corporate level, to address these issues....that's the way to do it, make money for nothing, that, they way to do it,...corporate thieves and crooks.

Create a special showing of these movies on a Friday evening with my seat reserved in advance, at the nearest Regal Cinema, no later than 7PM, Isle Seat, at least half way up, free tickets, free transportation, free popcorn and free pop, and an appoligy f

Complaint about corporate.

I bought the monthly movie subscription and mine never worked and the movie theater or customer service didn't know how to fix it so I stopped buying the monthly subscription it was a waste of money because I had to pay at the theaters also

Poor experience and poor customer service

My family and I just recently watched IT chapter2, a late showing. We were disappointed that the staff had turned off the a/c, it started getting stuffy and they closed the concession stand 1 hour after the 3 hour length film was playing. We had refills remaining had we known we wouldve bought smaller items. When I upchanneled the issue to customer service they replied as if I was looking for a refund when I just wanted it resolved for future visits.

Rip off time!

Wtf now I remember why I stopped going to regal cinemas or for that matter any big cinema chain. They are complete rip offs. Now that I’m a senior citizen and can go to a matinee I save a whole .50 cents. As opposed to regular ticket price you would save 3.00 dollars. 8.25 for .20 cents of popcorn and 6.25 for a pop. Ridiculous! I understand everyone wants and needs to make money, but really. F.O. Never again. I have the money it’s the principal. I hate f$&@ing thieves. I will wait three months and go to a family own theater and spend 11.00 bucks for a movie, corn, and pop. The movie attendant acted put out that I didn’t want to waste any more money on the extremely over inflated concessions. Make me choose a reserved seat when I’m absolutely the only one in the room, really. She made a big deal out of that. No reasoning skills. Ok I’m done now.

Reserved seating

We went to Regal because we hate reserve seating. Call me crazy, I like to sit with my 7 and 10 year old when we watch a movie. Now corp. has forced it on the theaters. We have stopped going to see movies at the big theaters. we wait till they are in the discount theaters or on dvd.
