Regal Cinemas Manager Review

Hi. I have stage 4 prostate cancer and an on a strict diet. There is nothing in the theatre i can eat or drink except for coffee. The coffee machine in port Charlotte has been broken for over a year. I drink water. The manager won't let me bring in coffee. So, yes, i am pissed. JD Long. 317903****

Inconsistent film times

We arrived at the theatre on Broadway and 13th Street yesterday (Jan.27) for the 4:10 screening of THE DANISH GIRLS. But there was no such screening. This is the only theatre I know of in Manhattan where there are capricious screening times, making it impossible to plan even one day ahead. I spoke with the manager and he assured me there would be multiple screenings the next day. (There were only two on Jan. 27). We had come all the way from Upper Manhattan, near Yonkers, for nothing. He didn't even offer a voucher. We don't intend to return to this particular theatre.

Dear Sir, I am writing to explain a very bad experience I had with the Manager Dustin Govino at Regal Westborough, MA. I had the soft copy of the movie ticket in my phone. It was mentioned in the ticket that I should carry a paper printout of the ticket to the cinema....

Review in Entertainment category

Why assigned seating? I don't want to sit by the fat person reclined all the way with their butt facing my seat. I would rather choose to sit where no one else is because there are only 20 people in the theater. Who at Regal thought this is better? It is insane. Now I get angry before the movie wondering if I am having to sit by a cranky child because that is my assigned seat. I am going to go elsewhere.

Never had a problem of someone sitting next to me. The seats are wide and comfortable.

My only problem is the theaters are now about 100-125 seats as appose to 175+ and sellout faster.

This means going earlier to the theater. Not worth it sometimes.

Regal Cinemas - Cinemark Theater Star Wars Review from Kansas City, Missouri

I recently took a trip to Fort Worth and discovered that Cinemark theaters is about half the price what you charge with better accommodations including electric reclining seats, it's definitely culture shock for me since I grew up in the st. Louis area. God what a ripoff its been all these years attending these theaters in the st.louis area. I watched 3d Star Wars with electric reclining seats for $8.75, unbelievable.

THIS IS MY SECOND COMMENT. THE COFFEE MACHINE HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR TWO YEARS!

I'M TIRED OF BEING LIED TO. EITHER YOU'RE GOING TO FIX IT, GET A NEW ONE, OR YOU'RE NOT. OTHER THAN COFFEE, ALL I DRINK IS WATER. I HAVE STAGE 4 CANCER AND AM ON A SPECIAL DIET.

ANYWAY, STILL PISSED. JD LONG FROM THE PORT CHARLOTTE CINEMA, FLORIDA.

Regal Cinemas Imax Review from Miami Beach, Florida

Terrible experience !!!!! Got tickets on fandango , came to the movie theatre , only to find out they will not let us in without ID !!!! I had no idea !!!! And the confirmation on Fandango never stated that one needs to have an ID to go in . If the new policy is that one needs an ID to get in the theater , because now you charge much more for the ticket and you can reserve the seat , then you better communicate this ! Really bad experience ! We didn't get in !!!!

The reserved seating format is the worst idea ever. I have prepurchased discount tickets from my employer so I cannot use these to buy tickets online and must go to the box office. Realizing this is a popular film, we went to this theater at 13:00 to purchase tickets...

This is not a new policy. Regal has had this in place since it began, as do other chains.

It follows the MPAA guidelines that theatres voluntarily follow, guidelines that have been in place since 1968 (when the R rating was introduced).

These restrictions reduce censorship because movies no longer have to be suitable for all audiences, and this idea would be useless without theatres upholding it. In addition, voluntarily following the guidelines prevents the ratings from becoming law and allowing for citations if someone tried to get into a show or if a theatre let them in, as with alcohol, tobacco, or *** material.

Bottled Water Review

Just left Regal in Crystal River FL. Old, had to sit almost in the back so I wasn't looking up at the screen. I was *** enough to want water. Paid 4.87 with tax for plain water in a bottle. Can't imagine what a Coke would cost.

I've had this same experience when visiting. My experience is that most retail shops understaff by design b/c the owners are cheap.

Some of the bars have the bartender serve drinks and cook food. Horrible!

VIP Pass

I went to see Star Wars, #1 at the box for the last 3 weekends, took my VIP pass, well past the 12 days, they told me it's a new movie, and I would have to pay $1.50 more. First how is it still a new movie, it came out last month. Second, the VIP + $1.50 is more than what a ticket would cost if I just bought one at the box, that's insane. It's the second time now, the last time I just put it away and paid, but enough is enough. What is the point of selling these and then not allowing people to use them, unless they pay a surcharge that pushes the total cost above what it would be to just buy a ticket at the time you go to see the movie, plus you don't have to wait 12 days to go. Can I just go back to the box and get a refund for them, since I can never use them to pay for entrance to a movie? This is unreal.
